Aug 24, 2014
The sermon was delivered on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Dr. Marlin Lavanhar, Senior Minister.
As I reread the book by Don Miguel Ruiz, “The Four Agreements: the Practical Guide to Personal Freedom,” I was reminded that here at All Souls we have three agreements. What does it mean to “dwell together in peace, to seek the truth in love and to help one another?” That is the covenant that we say each week. At All Souls we have agreed to be connected by a promise we make to each other rather than by agreeing to a common creed or doctrine. In doing so we have created a “practical religion guided by freedom.” Join me as I explore our “Three Agreements.”
