Jan 6, 2013
The sermon was delivered on Sunday, January 6, 2013, during the contemporary service at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Marlin Lavanhar, Senior Minister.
I’ve always been intrigued by Jared Tyler’s song titled “Questions." As we enter 2013, it may be a good time to try to answer some of the song’s questions. I hope you’ll join Jared and me as we explore in words and music both questions and grace for a New Year.
Here are some of the lyrics:
Are you looking for hello or goodbye?
Are you ready for the wind to change?
Are you trying for the same old thing?
Do you know where you’re going?
And how you’re getting there?
Are you looking for a chance and a prayer?
Can you find your deepest need?
Are you holding on to tears with a smile?
Have you ever walked a lonely mile?
Well is it what you dreamed, or somewhere in between?
Can you see the silver light and still see it in the dark?
If everything in you has tried can you find out who you are?
