Sep 30, 2012
Sermon delivered on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Tamara Lebak, Associate Minister.
Frederick Buechner writes, “What the word ‘home’ brings to mind, before anything else, is a special place that is clearly distinguishable from all other places. It is a place where you feel you belong, and which, in some sense, belongs to you. Home is the place throughout your life that you keep going back to, and which is apt to determine the kind of place – perhaps a place inside yourself – that you spend the rest of your life searching for, even if you are not aware that you’re searching.”
Let’s explore the idea of home and its influence on us, as well as what it looks like to have a church home as theologically diverse as our own.
