Jun 9, 2019
The message was delivered on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Barbara Prose, Executive Director of Ministry, and Rev. Gerald L. Davis, Affiliate Minister, at the Humanist Service.
Rev. Gerald Davis has been learning to maneuver with a walking stick for the visually impaired. Learning to walk with this type of aid is a high risk and greatly rewarding skill. In the spirit of our Trading Places series, I stepped into Rev. Davis's shoes. Working and walking along side Rev. Davis this month, I’ve experienced what breaking through feels like. Breaking through is taking risks, relying on physical and spiritual senses we've ignored, and learning to trust ourselves in new ways. If you are feeling stuck in any part of your life, this Trading Places Sunday is for you. Rev. Davis and I will share why we believe that there is no challenge you can’t face.
