Apr 17, 2016
The sermon was delivered on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. David Ruffin, Assistant Minister.
Even though letting go is at the heart of being alive, we often resist it with all the strength we have. But clinched fists receive little… Striving to hold on to what we cannot grasp, we keep ourselves from the greatest gifts life has to offer. In a contemporary culture that emphasizes accruing our way toward happiness, could you risk letting go of your white-knuckled grip on what you think you need to be okay? If you can, you may find you’re finally able to fully receive what you’re already being given, and for that matter, finally able to fully give what you’re capable of giving to others. But you’ll never really know unless you really let go.
