The sermon was delivered on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Minister Carmen White Janak, Guest Minister.

SERMON DESCRIPTION

Rev. Dr. Martin King once said, "The ultimate measure of a [wo]man is not where [s]he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where [s]he stands at times of challenge and controversy." In a time when black bodies line the streets like they once hung from trees, we must all use our voices and our feet to act against racial injustice and racialized oppression. This commitment to speak out is not situational or temporary. We must all fight for justice until "justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream." Let us honor this sacred moment in history by proclaiming we can't and we won't be silent anymore!
