DESCRIPTION

"Just walk a mile in his moccasins. Before you abuse, criticize and accuse. If just for one hour, you could find a way. To see through his eyes, instead of your own muse." —Excerpt from Judge Softly, Mary Lathrap, 1895

An early form of trade was to barter, trading goods or services without the use of money. What are the values and virtues you trade that don't involve money and that you consider more valuable than money? Virtue has value that money cannot buy or pay for. Compassion is identifying with the pain or passion of someone else and tends to go deeper than love—love cares, but doesn't always feel. Nothing enhances relationships more than allowing compassion to be the primary virtue that buoys and buttresses our connection to the social, moral, and spiritual base and balance of community.
