Sep 6, 2015
The sermon was delivered on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by David Ruffin, Resident Minister.
The breezes are picking up outside and in the rustling leaves I’m reminded of the iconic imagery of “the winds of change.” What makes them blow? “Why, our own breath of course,” comes one answer. And yet, perhaps the winds of change are always blowing and the question is, instead, are we listening for what they have to tell us?
The inspiration we need for the journey of personal and social transformation is always around us. This Labor Day weekend we will explore the transforming labor of change that is possible when we begin by using the underdeveloped power of our ears.
