Feb 2, 2014
The sermon was delivered on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Tamara Lebak, Associate Minister.
It is African-American History Month. At All Souls, we will celebrate all month at 10:00 and 11:30 with Soulful Journeys , an exploration of African-American history and the African-American Spirit through music. At the Point, I will examine some of the surprising things well intended people say that perpetuate, if not widen, the diversity gap. I have said them; you have likely said them. We probably hear them regularly. Join me in learning the intent behind some of these statements that separate us, and ways to bridge to connection when we, or someone we love, inserts their foot in their mouth.
