SERMON DESCRIPTION

Some of the biggest news of the season has been Bruce Jenner’s transition to Caitlyn Jenner. The media has been having a frenzy covering this high profile transition. I want to look at it through the lens of Love Beyond Belief and what it means to love someone through such a life-changing period. There is a lot more than the media is talking about that we can learn from this situation that applies to the issue of gender and transgender people and other transitions in our lives. Joining me in the pulpit will be Steven Leigh Williams who was born, dedicated and raised at All Souls in Tulsa and is a candidate for the Unitarian Universalist ministry and will speak from his own experience of gender transition. Steven just completed a year as the student minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Bartlesville, OK.
