The sermon was delivered on Sunday, January 5, 2020, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Dr. Marlin Lavanhar, Senior Minister.
Brother David Stendal-Rast, a Benedictine monk has observed: "Ninety-nine percent of the time we have an opportunity to be grateful for something. We just don’t notice it. We go through our days in a daze." We often don’t realize what we have until it’s gone. It’s often after a relationship ends that we realize how much it meant to us or when we leave a job or when our children go away to school or when our health changes and we realize we’ve taken it for granted. How can we appreciate what we have now in this moment and not when we come to die, realize we have not lived? Join me to experience the profound joy and gratitude of this moment and this life and share tools for living with presence and purpose.
